What is a PDF splitter?

A PDF splitter is a tool that breaks one PDF file into multiple smaller files. You can split every page into its own document, or extract only the pages you need — a chapter, a section, or a custom range like pages 3–7 and 12.

Common use cases: sharing a single contract page with a client, extracting slides from a report, or separating scanned pages before filing.

How to split a PDF online

Upload your file. Drag your PDF onto the upload area or click to browse. The tool shows your page count immediately — no extra step needed.

Choose a split mode. Select All pages to turn every page into a separate PDF. Select Select pages to enter specific pages or ranges, e.g., 1, 3, 5-8.

Split and download. Click “Split PDF” and download the result as a ZIP file containing one PDF per page or range.

Split all pages vs. select specific pages

All pages is the fastest option. It takes your entire PDF and creates one separate file for each page. A 10-page PDF becomes 10 individual PDFs, packaged in a ZIP.

Select pages gives you full control. Enter page numbers separated by commas, or use a hyphen for ranges. For example, 1, 4, 7-10 extracts pages 1, 4, and 7 through 10 — each as its own PDF file.

Both modes support files up to 100 MB. No account required, and your file isn’t stored after processing.
