What is a Word to PDF converter?
A Word to PDF converter takes a .doc or .docx file and produces a PDF that looks exactly like your original document—same fonts, same spacing, same layout. PDF is a fixed format: it opens identically on any device, operating system, or screen size, with no risk of text reflowing or fonts being substituted. That’s why clients, employers, and agencies typically request documents in PDF rather than Word format.
The conversion happens server-side using LibreOffice, the same engine used by professional document workflows. A 10-page report with headers, tables, and embedded images typically converts in under five seconds.
How to use this converter
Upload your file. Drag your .doc or .docx file onto the upload area, or click to browse. Files up to 50 MB are supported—large reports with images included.
Download your PDF. The converter processes the file automatically. When it’s done, you see the output filename and size, then download the PDF directly to your device. No settings to configure, no account needed.
For example, a 25-page proposal saved as .docx—complete with a cover page, a table of contents, and formatted sections—converts to a ready-to-send PDF in seconds, with every heading, bullet point, and table intact.
When formatting is preserved—and when it isn’t
Standard formatting converts reliably: paragraphs, headings, bold and italic text, tables, numbered and bulleted lists, page headers and footers, and most embedded images. Documents that depend on fonts not installed on the conversion server may substitute a similar font—this is rarely visible but can occasionally affect tight character spacing. If precise typography matters, embed fonts in your Word document before uploading (File → Options → Save → Embed fonts in the file).
Is it safe to upload my document?
Yes. Your file is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection, converted on the server, and the resulting PDF is returned directly to your browser. Files are never stored after your session ends—they aren’t retained, logged, or accessible to any third party. If your document contains sensitive business or personal information, it’s handled the same way as any other file: processed and immediately discarded.
